Crested Serpent Eagle resting on a branch in a forested valley in northern Taiwan.

Habitat:

mountainous areas throughout Taiwan

Notes:

these raptors are more often scene hovering the high air currents. I was fortunate to get these shots from my balcony, which overlooks a forested valley, when I heard the bird calling out and saw some branches shaking.
