Southern red Bishop

Description:

Flock of Southern Red Bishops at different plumage stages: breeding males have black face, belly and vent, red cap, mantle, tail and throat, non-breeding males and females have light brown-grey plumage, with light stripes on the chest, transitional plumage for the males is anything in between.

Habitat:

dry savanna and sparse scrubs.
