Description:

Its size ranges from 0.9–1.25 inches.

Habitat:

A butterfly native to the southeastern United States. It feeds on fallen leaves of sumac species and other trees. It lives near coastal areas and edges.

Notes:

Found this little guy near the back of my property where the fence meets the treeline of a wooded area.
