Spotted Owl

Strix occidentalis

Description:

Owl. Brown feathers mottled with white.

Habitat:

This one was found in a side canyon at Zion NP resting in a tree.

Notes:

Found this older picture. I think it is either a spotted owl or a burrowing owl. I have also included a picture of the two juveniles that were sitting in the tree. I wish I would have gotten some better pictures.
