Description:

Upright, deciduous tree with an open crown; suckers freely. Pinnate leaves comprise 3-10 pairs of oval leaflets. White pea-like flowers borne in 20cm long pendulous clumps. Pods are 10cm long and smooth.

Habitat:

Roadsides to stabilise light, sandy soil. Naturalised in woods and abandoned, scrubby places.

Notes:

Also called false acacia.
