Dendrocygna autumnalis

Description:

Looks like a little goose when is standing. Pink beak. Both sexes look alike. Inmatures are brownish. Pink legs and feet.

Habitat:

Swamps and small lakes.

Notes:

I have seen this on swamps near the coast of Yucatán (near Tizimín, and Colonia Yucatán). These phostos were taken at the Mérida zoo.

It was in a zoo, so they are used to people, but still a nice creature
