Description:

A robust, tufted epiphyte, often growing in large colonies. It is a perching Lily with broad, strap-like leaves. Leaves overlap at the plant base and generally grow out in a one dimensional plane. The mass of organic matter that often forms at the base of the plant provides a habitat for spleenwort ferns.

Habitat:

Endemic to New Zealand.
