Bird Nest

My neighbor , Norman brought this nest or nesting material with this note, "This birds nest flew down our front door. The red colored fiber is probably from the bark of a red wood tree. The twine knots are probably from the remnants of a sock I had hanging in the yard that was stuffed with cotton. Lots of cotton was not taken,but they liked the string better" Wonder which bird does this nest belong to..
