Balanophora

Balanophora fungosa

Description:

parasitic flowering plant, the plants contain no chlorophyll, I know it's a Balanophora but not 100% sure it's B. fungosa

Habitat:

tropical and subtropical regions

Notes:

I spotted this in Doi Inthanon National Park. I was told it was a parasite on the roots of a wild jackfruit tree.
