Melanistic Two-Spotted Ladybug

Adalia bipunctata v. quadripustulata

Description:

This is a melanistic form of the Two-Spot Ladybug. It can be distinguished from the black variant of Harmonia axyridis by its smaller size and two white dots between the eyes. This four-spotted, quadripustulata, form is the most common melanic variant.

Habitat:

Urban house rosemary plant.

Definitely not Adalia bipunctata, it is always red, there is no such thing as melanistic for of it, btw it has 4 and not 2 spots and bipunctata means 2 spotted, howevet it is and asian ladybird http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Harmon...
