Shield Bug

Unidentified Pentatomidae

Description:

Hemiptera; Pentatomidae. I hesitate to call this bug Unidentified Pentatomidae, but there are so many genera out there, most of which have huge numbers of species that it is never going to be be easy. However, I really enjoy researching and I am sure I will make some progress on this and will revise and improve this spotting as soon as I can.

Habitat:

I spotted these specimens on roadside foliage.

Hi Mark, thank you. Yes these little guys are sometimes very colourful. I've noticed that the nymphs often look better than the thing they grow into, but I think that can be said of us humans too. Regards, John B.
