Polemonium caeruleum, subsp. himalayanum
Himalayan Jacob's Ladder is leafy perennial herb, up to 1 m tall, which bears very attractive blue flowers. Flowers have 5 long stamens with thick, bright yellow anthers. The common name derives from the ladder-like pattern made by the numerous parallel, narrow leaflets. Himalayan Jacob's Ladder is commonly found in forests, open slopes and damp places, at altitudes of 2400-3700 m. Flowering: June-September.
