Spotting

Description:

brownish yellow, soft to the touch, a type of moss?

Habitat:

growing on rock in temperate forest

Notes:

I went to Foping Nature Reserve to track Giant Pandas and sometimes there was a lot of downtime while the trackers searched for fresh sign of Panda. I found this on a rock while checking out what was around.
