Lanius schach
It is small for a grey shrike, but has a very long tail with rufous edges. The underparts are white, but with rufous flanks. The bill and legs are nearly black.
It is a common resident breeder throughout the Indomalayan ecozone from Kazakhstan, through Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indian peninsula except eastern states, to New Guinea, found on bushes in scrubby areas and cultivation. Winter visitor to southern areas such as southeast India and Sri Lanka.
This bird was flying around in the open air giant panda enclosure at the panda breeding centre in Chengdu.

This is race erythronotus.. we find them in Assam along with the tricolor (the Himalayan one)

Long-tailed Shrike (Lanius schach) is correct. Differentiated from Red-backed Shrikes by the black wings.
Yes I also agree with you guys , its more of a Long tailed shrike I think.
