Aiolocaria hexaspilota
Deep red shell, a pair of large white patches on either sides of a black head, irregular large black patches one on the shoulder area and two at mid-sections one above and one below. A relatively large lady beetle. Head to tail-end length: 11.00 mm.
Semi-urban building surrounded by forests.
This one and some 5-6 bright red coloured lady beetles visited our house on Nov 12 and 13, 2014. This was the biggest one. It was quite taxing photographing it as it rarely kept still.
Thanks bayucca for all the effort. Yes, it's quite strange there's no match even among those 30 samples.
Coccinellidae, probably a color variation of Aiolocaria hexaspilota? For me only candidate left after checking dozens of species, but there is not much info on that one and specially the drawing is the only reference I found! Please, verify or ask a real expert! Note that other Aiolocaria hexaspilota look completely (!!) different!

I am not sure if this one is a variation of Harmonia axyridis?? The white spots are quite characteristic. But I did not find a match for one from India and with the same patterns. So, just a shy IDea...
#30 of this one?
