Helichrysum stoechas
Is a small herbaceous plant, sometimes with a woody base, stems erect, leafy, about 40 cm tall. Leaves hairy, narrow, linear, with the rolled edge, grayish, hairy, and when rubbed off they release a strong smell while losing the hairs. Yellow flowers in globular-looking straw, gathered in groups at the end of the stems. Used in teas against fever and chest problems.
Mediterranean and Atlantic habitats, often near the sea. Sandy and dry lands, arid and rocky.
