Description:

Ave marinha muito abundante; cabeça e corpo brancos; asas e cauda pretas; bico amarelo com uma pinta vermelha; pernas e pés variando entre amarelo e amarelo-esverdeado. Os jovens têm coloração parda e bico escuro. Abundant seabird, head and body white, black wings and tail, yellow beak with a red paint; legs and feet varying between yellow and yellow-green. Young people have brown coloring and black beak.

Habitat:

Região costeira do Sul e Sudeste do Brasil, habita praias, lagoas, estuários e costões. Pode ser observada nas planícies de maré, em bóias de sinalização, em ambientes urbanizados da orla, sobre telhados, trapiches e barcos. Coastal region of southern and southeastern Brazil, inhabits beaches, lagoons, estuaries and coasts. It can be observed in the tidal flats, buoys, signaling environments of urbanized waterfront, on rooftops, piers and boats.
