Red squirrel

Sciurus vulgaris


The coat is reddish-brown on the upper side. The underside is cream yellow / white. The red squirrel is a rodent. The long tail helps it to keep the balance as it jumps between branches. The tail also keeps the animal warm when it sleeps.


Here it prefere to live in forest with spruce.
