Spotted during a weekend hike on the "Edge of Apallachia" Perennial herb 8 to 20 inch tall, Flowers 0.3 inch across 5 white or pink petals. 10 long stamens on leafless stalk.

Habitat:

Rich deciduous woodland.

Alice, Not sure - there was the minute Sweet Cicely nearby with some fragrance.

Slightly similar to Columbine and yet different. I don't remember seeing this before. Does it have a nice smell?
