Lignum-vitae

Guaiacum sanctum

Habitat:

Native to South Florida, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean in hardwood hammocks. Threatened due to habitat loss. Lignum-vitae Key, FL is a protective sanctuary. http://www.floridastateparks.org/lignumv...

Notes:

The berry caught my eye. But I did not see any flowers. I need to remember to go back when it is in bloom to get some pictures of the beautiful blue-lavender flowers.
