Description:

Is a grass. Plant tip florets looks smooth and oval, with silky white hair and the stems are very thin.

Habitat:

Slopes and open places, especially in sandy areas near the sea. Found in North Africa (from Morocco to Egypt) in Atlantic archipelagos (Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands), in Southern Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, former Yugoslavia, Greece) and Middle-East (Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria).
