Description:

Small butterfly in the family Lycaenidae with distinctive markings. The upperside of the males is light blue with a darker narrow border (pic2). Females are dark brown, often with blue wing bases.

Habitat:

Spotted nectaring on flowers at the National Butterfly Center in Mission. Texas.
