European starling, juvenile

Sturnus vulgaris

Description:

Out of nowhere, these juvenile wild birds landed on my husband while he was sitting on our patio. Hours later we found out our neighbor had raised them, after finding their nest blown down by a storm. They are more independent now, and we hope they'll soon find their own food and fly away.

Liam, my neighbor, who raised them, thinks they're robins. I must say though, juvenile robins I have seen before have speckled breasts, so you may be correct in saying they're starlings.

How funny! They think he's their new daddy :) That must have been a great experience.
They look kind of like robins to me.
