Spotting

Description:

Looks like a young ginger plant, though not sure what species. About 4 inches tall, and two-and-a-half inches wide. Green at the bottom of the “flower”, white in the middle, to a gradient of pink at the top. Succulent-like leaves (or petals?) that grow from the stalk: meaning that the leaves/petals turn pink with age. Found growing in a pot in my backyard, but was left behind by previous tenants. Surrounded by thin, long, narrow green leaves, but not sure if it is part of the same plant.

Habitat:

Kaimuki Avenue
