Description:

A strongly marked and coloured caterpillar about 35mm long with find black hairs and two long black tufts from the head.

Habitat:

On an Asteraceae in a local nature reserve.

Notes:

The plant on which this was found was probably Thickhead - Cassocephalum crepidiodes.

There are a pair of horn-shaped black hairs on the head.....gave it away ..you where right in what you thought it was :)...funny i was looking for a looper caterpillar in another browser .....you did 100%...i am just being cheeky and filling in the rest :)
