Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis

Description:

This is common plant with long stems with many short dark leaves. Leaves a distinct smell when rubbed/touched and is used for a spice.

Habitat:

Garden

Notes:

This is a spice that doesn't mix well with other green spices. When used to be most effective it is usually chopped right before adding or ground if it is dry and it is left to be the star of the show. Goes well on meat with nuts as a complimenting flavor as well as with most white cheeses.
