Unicorn Leatherjacket

Aluterus monoceros

Description:

Also known as Unicorn Filefish, they vary in color with age. They feed on invertebrates and algae, and grow to a length of about 76cm.

Habitat:

Found singly, pairs or in groups usually in open waters but also around reefs and floating debris, at depths of 5 to 80m. Circumtropical.

Notes:

Spotted this fish while it was vertical and with its back to me, so I thought it was a floating stick.
