Marsh Snake

Hemiaspis signata

Notes:

This little visitor was waiting for me at the front door tonight... I nearly stepped on him! Marsh snakes (also known as 'swamp snakes') are venomous but not fatally so; however, this little fellow was pretty feisty so I left him to find his own way back to the garden.
