Grey dove with pink legs. Was very shy and took off as soon as I took the first photo.
I think you're right. Someone had suggested the Zenaida before, but I knew that wasn't possible.
I believe it is free-lancing. The only bird I found that is very similar to a mourning dove is the Zenaida Dove, but I found that they are only found in southern Florida.
Thanks for the ID suggestion - but I don't think it's a mourning dove. The spots don't seem right.
