I agree this beautiful insect is not native to Asia, it is certainly a Parides and a new world species.

OK, you have a Caligo from Costa Rica, so you probably have the wrong location for your Papilio polytes or correctly Parides iphidamas. It is mentioned Thailand??

This is a Parides iphidamas, a neotropical butterfly from Central and South America. Looks similar to Polites, however, is from the other side of your world. I guess you took the shot in a butterfly park??
