Atlides halesus corcorani
What a beauty -must look lovely in flight !
Sorry, my spelling is off. The genus I'm talking about is Atlides.
Here's Altides halesus in flight, for example: https://farm3.static.flickr.com/2175/225...
We have other genera of hairstreak butterflies in the US. This one could belong to Altides.
This looks like a fresh oakblue. Wings are deformed, or freshly forming. Aropala is the genus of most of these.I thought these were oceanic and not from the new world. Is this wild or in captivity?
