The first amphibian I saw this year. It was so cool out still that he was very cooperative for pictures.

Habitat:

It is found at the edge of ponds and slow-moving streams, tending to avoid wooded areas and dense vegetation

Notes:

Life span averages four months. With a such a short life span, populations can have a complete turn over in six months.
