Plume Shrimp

Leander plumosus

Description:

Also known as Long-nose Shrimp and Plumose Shrimp. Its "snout" is elongated and paddle-shaped, so it's easy to mistake it for its tail.

Notes:

There are 2 shrimp in this series. The first 2 photos show one below a feather star, and the rest show one among soft coral. Both locations were pretty near each other, at a depth of about 15m, at Dayang Beach, Talikud Island, Samal. The video shows the plume shrimp and four other shrimp species: squat shrimp, red-claw cuapetes shrimp, banded boxer shrimp, and one that I haven't identified yet (big, reddish-brown shrimp that appears very aggressive in the video).
