Beautiful medium-sized white wading bird with bright red face, bill and legs.
In a pond with open grassy area around.
This was a pair who were feeding in the pond by putting their beaks in the water and probing. They went quite deep in the water; at one point, their chest was right in the water.

There's only a short time in the year where they have those red wattles beneath the bill. You can see it very well in the first photo. Nice!
