Description:

Plant green; leaves ovate-acuminate, serrate above mid-leaf; costa strong and precurrent to within 3 cells of tip; leaf cells quadrate-hexagonal; micronemata present at base of leaf and on stem; leaf margin with limbidium 4 cells wide, cells long an skinny compared to the interrior hexagonal cells.

Habitat:

open sunny site in a medium to poor fen. Found in a depression with skunk cabbage surrounded by sphagnum species.
