Tyrannus forficatus
Another vagrant to California. Mostly found in southern mid states. Kingbird with a long scissor tail. Pale gray upper side and salmon pink below.
For this vagrant it ended up along a beach and feeding on insects long the shoreline.

Mati1 not sure about your comment. This bird is related to a Kingbird.
Here here on snowy owl.
Ashley I would love to see a Snowy Owl too.
The Oregon coast has been getting some intersting vagrants - a brown booby that stayed for nearly a month. I didn't get a chance to see it, alas.
And thank you all.
Someone believed with the climate change some head west end up at the ocean. And some end up on the islands off shore. The Farallones have gotten rare species even the main land hasn't seen.
We have been having lots of crazy birds show up in Texas in the past two weeks as well, many of them are firsts for the state! Common crane (2 of them!), red-legged honeycreeper, gray-crowned rosy-finch, pacific wren, and American dipper! Just need the snowy owls to come south and west more and everyone will be happy!
Really nice! I can't believe how many southern birds are making their way N.
Lovely plumage - Great shots jellis ! Thanks for sharing.
Sweet series.
