The rut is a great time to find, observe and photograph bucks as, they're so focused on chasing tail, they lose some of their fear of humans. Unlike some state or national wildlife refuges, our national parks do not allow outside hunters to hunt on their land so they're a safe place to photograph various animals during their breeding seasons without fear of being accidentally shot.
