I heard they can't sting humans. Is that true?

I'm not sure what this species is, but I would really appreciate it if someone could identify this anthropoid. I have a vested personal interest in this specimen because I was recently stung by one of these. A few days after being stung, I started having the most vivid nightmares.. I think it's best if I don't share them here.
