The Eastern White pine has needle bunches of five, has blue-ish green needles and had long cones. The bark is soft wood, and known to the Native American tribe Haudenosaunees' as the Peace Tree. Kingdom: Plantae Phylum: Pinophyta Class: Pinopsida Order: Pinales Family: Pinacaea Genus: Pinus Species: P.Strobus

Habitat:

Great Lakes region, Minnesota and Mississippi Basin. We found this tree in Van Horn Woods in Plainfield, Il.
