Description:

Measures 21.5 to 25.5 cm long. It's all black including legs, beak, eyes and feathers hence one of its common names black bird, chicks and young people have no feathers around the eyes. It is one of the most melodious voice of birds of this country. The female also sings.

Habitat:

It can be found throughout Brazil except the Amazon. It is common in agricultural areas, buritizais, pine forests, grasslands and wetlands, plantations of isolated trees, dead, remnants of the forest. Its presence is associated with palm trees.
