Ailanthus Webworm Moth

Atteva aurea

Description:

Small, brightly colored moth. Reddish-orange with bold black-outlined white dots. Cylindrical shape when at rest. These moths look to me like they have been painted and decorated with beads.

Habitat:

Nolin Lake State Park, Kentucky. Attracted to lights at the bathroom building in the campground where we were staying. Temperate forest with lake habitat.
