Rosette Fungus

Podoscypha petalodes

Description:

Attractive papery orange-yellow leafy convoluted fungus. Approx. 70mm wide. Pores.

Habitat:

Growing from the side of an earth wall in very dark, moist eucalyptus forest on urban fringe.

Notes:

Also known as Rosette fungus. By accepting the name Podoscypha petalodes I expect there was buried timber or roots not seen.
