Description:

A medium sized dragonfly, the male of the species is distinctly different from the female. The female has an olivaceous or bright reddish-brown face with eyes that are purplish-brown above and grey below. The thorax is olivaceous with brown median and black lateral stripes. The abdomen is reddish-brown with median and lateral black markings. The black markings are confluent at the end of each segment and enclose a reddish-brown spot. The wings are transparent with brown tips. The venation is bright yellow to brown and basal amber markings are pale. The wing spots are a dark brown and the lags are dark grey with narrow yellow stripes. font: wikipedia

spotted in a wet forest park called kiara park next to the lake in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

With dragonflies the shape of the wing tips, the colour of the panels near the tips, the pattern of the thorax, the colour and shape of the abdomen and the arrangements at the rear of the abdomen can all be important features necessary to obtain an accurate identification.
The majority of unidentifiable organisms serve no useful purpose in Project Noah's aims and goals as we are trying to set up a networked database of Identified organisms and the habitats they are now living in, so in addition to the above we also ask for as complete as possible description of what you saw in the case of unidentified organisms and the habitat where you saw it is a requirement of all spottings.
