Peppermint Shrimp

Description:

Photo take at -30 ft on a coral reef small cleaning shrimp about 3 cm long but it can reach about 6 cm, usually seen in pares under rocks and reef formations. Bright red stripes on its otherwise translucent body, which are reminiscent of peppermint candies such as a candy cane.

Habitat:

Found in shallow waters in coral reef rocky bottom areas from Florida , The Gulf of México and some Island in the Caribbean.
