Oleander hawk-moth

Daphnis nerii

Description:

One of the most beautiful creatures I have ever encountered. I was really captivated by its vibrant colours and patterns and was amazed by the the fact that it wasn't bothered at all by my presence.

Habitat:

The oleander hawk-moth typically inhabits dry river beds, oases and warm hillsides with scattered oleander bushes. However, areas which are overgrown with this shrub tend to be avoided. (source: arkive.org)
