Philippine Violet

Barleria cristata

Description:

Medium sized plant. The flowers which have no scent look some what like individual tube rose flowers (Polianthes tuberosa).

Habitat:

It was growing as a hedge in Delhi. I liked the flower and brought it to Kolkata where it is now growing as a potted plant. Wikipedia says it is also called Bluebell barleria or Crested Philippine violet. The flower I have is all-white, though.

Notes:

Thanks, Nuwan.
