Description:

The Blue Bottle fly is slightly larger than a housefly. The head and thorax are dull gray and the abdomen is bright metallic blue with black markings. They feed on carrion, open wounds on animals, dung & decaying matter.

Habitat:

Throughout North America, Europe & Asia. A variety of habitats.
