Cyrestis themire belongs to the family Nymohalidae in the sub-family Cyrestinae. It is primarily a forest species, but can be encountered at the forest edges often along the paths..
The habitat consists of primary and secondary forest at elevations between sea level and about 500 metres. I saw this one on a path near Than To Waterfall in thick tropical forest.
