Hehe I am no expert too, but I know the difference between R and A :)

Your other spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/107... is correctly Azalea... You can see how small it is compared to these :)

Jeannette,
Ok... you must be right. Anyway I'm far from an expert so I just followed your suggestion! ;-)

These are Rhododendrons and not Azelas, you can tell by the size of the leaves and plants :)

Dana,
The kind of details you're talking about are new to me... anyway I choose Azaleas as it's common name and noticed that it's cientific name is in fact Rhododendron! Anyway thanks! ;-)

So I've just made up my mind! It was when I compaired the last photo of my spot with one photo of wikipedia regarding Azalea's festival! I hope I made the right choice! ;-)

alicelongmartin et Jeannette,
To tell you the true I was wondering if it was'nt Rhodendron because I have another spot of these flowers and they look very similar... on the other hand these ones seem to be smaller so I had a doubt!!! So I'll check (or try) to then decide! Thank you both! ;-)

As alice says Rhododendron :)

Azaleas or Rhododendron depends on the size of the leaves. Azalea have smaller leaves.
