Myrtle Warbler

Dendroica coronata coronata

Notes:

This was a very special spotting for me. My grand son who was not quite two years of age, sat with me to watch for, in his words: birdies. This capture was one of the only times I have seen this warbler in my yard. I suspect it was just passing through. It also was the first time my grandson sat with me outside of my house to bird.

Ashish, I am totally new here, (3 days ) and still do not understand all the inner workings of this great community. I will be happy to add this or any of my other spottings to any mission.

Love it. Beautiful photo, bird, and story .
My grandson - who will be two next month, also enjoys finding birds and bugs for me to photograph. He can identify the easier birds, such as Cardinals, Chickadees (he says deesdees), and sparrows (rows)...I just love how his face lights up whenever something new comes along. His little hands are forever pointing-see see see.. :)

Thank you Achmmad, Clear sharp photos of wildlife and nature is what I am all about. I find it hard to study nature if I can not see it clearly. I am not against getting a photo to say you saw and were able to id something, but for me, I want something I can look at and study in depth if I wish to. I am glad you approve.

Thank you Snowy, and thank you once more for telling my about this amazing sight, where one can learn so much about wildlife from around the world. I am honored to be able to have this platform to give the people of this sight a small sliver of the many spottings I am able to see.

If I could make sightings and captures like this every time he sat with me, I would have him by my side each and every time, Marcelo

Thank you MayraSpringmann, warblers are an easy bird to see using a pair of binoculars, or even with the naked eye. They are terribly hard to get photos of, as they are constantly on the move. I would love to have more sightings of these lovely birds, but they do not seem to wish to cooperate with me.

LeanneGardner, It was a moment in time, I will treasure for the rest of my life. For me it was a very special moment with a very special young man. A time for me to continue to pass on my great love for nature.
